Dr. Ryan Shipley

DPT

Ryan received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University. Ryan is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  He has also been certified by The Functional Movement System to implement the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).

Ryan’s family roots are in the Florida Keys, but his childhood took place in a small town in Southern Illinois after his parents decided to move to the Midwest. While growing up in a small town, Ryan participated in football, cross-country, basketball, track & field, and baseball. After graduating from high school, Ryan moved on to Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville to pursue a bachelors degree in Exercise Science.

Ryan was first introduced to physical therapy after suffering several ankle injuries during high school sporting events, and also while recovering from a fractured forearm which required surgical repair. While practicing physical therapy, Ryan emphasizes providing patient centered care and improving overall wellness to help his patients live life forward. Ryan is especially interested in treating sport related injuries and post-surgical patients.

When not at work, Ryan enjoys traveling back to the Florida Keys to spend time with his family and friends. Ryan also enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his Siberian Husky, “Nova.”
